Resources for writers
I get asked about publishing and how a new writer should go about writing/querying/getting an agent/selling their book. Some of those areas overlap, but the questions are all basically the same:
I wrote a book. Now what do I do?
First, look at this: The Publishing Process in GIF Form We chill now? Good.
I’ve created a list of links to helpful articles and blogs to help you cut through the crap and get some good, solid advice. Of course, this isn’t the end-all-be-all list of things you must do now or you’ll never ever get published and you’ll end up alone on the side of the freeway fighting raccoons for some half-eaten Big Macs. Take what works for you and ignore what doesn’t apply to your situation.
So here are invaluable (and free!) online resources for writers, divided into the five major phases of writing & publishing. I try to update it regularly, so check back later for more links.
